Nottingham Forest have initiated negotiations for Everton’s 19-year-old midfielder Harrison Armstrong, according to David Ornstein of The Athletic.

The proposed transfer is valued at approximately £40 million ($54.4 million) with an additional sell-on clause included in the deal structure.

This pursuit follows Forest’s earlier attempt to sign Tottenham’s Lucas Bergvall, which was unsuccessful, as they seek a replacement for Elliot Anderson, who recently joined Manchester City in a £116 million ($157 million) transfer.

Meanwhile, Forest may see departures during this window, with Omari Hutchinson and Arnaud Kalimuendo omitted from the Anfield squad.

Hutchinson, 22, has attracted interest from AC Milan, while Eintracht Frankfurt maintains interest in Kalimuendo, 24, who spent last season on loan with the German club. Defender Morato, 25, is also reportedly available for transfer.
