The New Level Captures AEW Trios Championship Gold with Swerve Strickland

As long been expected for months, the team formerly known as The New Day from WWE made their AEW debuts during Sunday’s AEW All In event at Wembley Stadium.

In their inaugural appearance, they claimed the newly formed AEW Trios Championship while adopting their new moniker: The New Level.

Featured as wildcard participants in the first-ever Trios Roulette Royal for the Trios titles, The New Level—consisting of Kofi and Austin Creed alongside former AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland—secured the seventh spot among seven teams vying for the gold upon exit from the opening buyl-in pre-show segment.

Before this match took center stage, the remaining babyface competitors in the arena were systematically overcome, culminating in Orange Cassidy landing multiple strikes on Jay White and Hangman Page with calculated precision.

Swerve Strickland received his full ceremony entrance prior to the reveal of his teammates, arriving with the track “New Level” by A$AP Ferg playing.

The competition employed a battle-royal format requiring individual eliminations; throughout the contest, Kofi executed signature avoidance maneuvers reminiscent of his earlier Royal Rumble appearances, notably having Prince Nana carry his legs in a wheelbarrow technique to avoid contact with the mat.

The conflict reached its crescendo when Strickland removed Gabe Kidd, and subsequently Kofi and Creed accomplished a double elimination against PAC and Claudio Castagnoli simultaneously to clinch the championships.

Having rounded out the seven-team preliminary phase with initial entries by the Bang Bang Gang (Jay White, Austin & Colten Gunn) and The Dogs (Gabe Kidd, Clark Connors & David Finlay), the next six entrants entered at staggered intervals. The defending champions—Page, King and Bandido—represented the sixth group to step onto the ring, and with Page advancing to match #14 in overall eliminations, new champions were soon inevitable.
