On Thursday, former President Barack Obama publicly threw his support behind Maine Senate candidate Troy Jackson, stating he is “proud to be on board” with the Democratic campaign to unseat Republican incumbent Sen. Susan Collins.
With the midterm elections approaching next month, Obama has increased his political engagement, releasing a video endorsement that highlights how Jackson’s upbringing in a logging family in Northern Maine shaped his leadership during his tenure in the Maine state Senate.
