Former WWE performer discusses working with Triple H: ‘Never made me feel like I was an annoyance’

Drake Maverick shared insights on his professional collaboration with Triple H, noting that the former official remained consistently approachable and receptive to his creative proposals.

During a conversation with fellow WWE writer/producer Simon O’Neil, Maverick recounted discussions involving Triple H’s iconic ‘Wanted Posters’ storyline from 2019 and expressed his willingness to collaborate on future concepts.

“I eventually appeared on television, and Vince was not present that day, but Hunter saw this and began integrating those ideas into the program. It seemed he understood my perspective—he always looked up to Hunter and I enjoyed our interactions. Although we rarely exchanged beyond business matters, I felt supported whenever I approached him for feedback.”

Maverick re-established himself in the ring earlier this month when he returned to PROGRESS Wrestling, marking roughly five years since his last match.
