Antisemitic and anti‑Zionist graffiti was spray‑painted on four Jewish school buses in Williamsburg, New York, on Monday.
Social‑media photos show the buses coated with antisemitic and anti‑Zionist slogans, including “F*** Israel,” “USA first,” and “Free Palestine.”
The NYPD’s 90th Precinct, the Hate Crime Task Force, and Williamsburg Shomrim are investigating to identify the perpetrators.
Local outlet Williamsburg 365 reported that the buses served the Satmar, Klausenburg Hassidic, and Tiferes Yisroel communities.
NYC Council member Lincoln Restler denounced the incident in a post on X.
“Anti‑Semitic graffiti on our community’s school buses is truly obscene,” Restler said. “The decade‑long rise in anti‑Semitic incidents must be stopped.”
NY State Assemblyman Kalman Yeger posted on X, “Globalize the Intifada landed in Williamsburg.”
In a separate X post, New York Attorney‑General Letitia James described the act as “despicable.”
“Anti‑Semitism and hate have no place in New York,” she said. “Anyone with information should contact local law enforcement.”
