PESHAWAR: The UNESCO World Heritage Centre has officially included four significant archaeological and heritage sites from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in its World Heritage Tentative List.

The newly listed sites comprise Bhamala and Sethi House in Peshawar, Barikot in Swat, and Gor Khatri in Peshawar.

This achievement reflects the collaborative efforts of the Directorate General of Archaeology and Museums, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in partnership with Federal Archaeology and Unesco Pakistan, marking a pivotal milestone in the international recognition and conservation of the province’s cultural legacy.
