PARIS — France’s interior minister announced on Monday that more than 890 people have been arrested following riots that broke out after Paris Saint-Germain won the Champions League for a second consecutive year over the weekend. Interior Minister Laurent Nunez told broadcaster France Inter, “We have recorded over 890 arrests; this represents a 45 percent increase compared to last year,” and noted that nearly 180 law‑enforcement officers were injured in the clashes.
