Frasers Group plc (FRAS.L) stated that it intends to strengthen its position in Hugo Boss (BOSS.DE) by possibly acquiring additional shares, aiming to hold more than 50.00% of the company’s share capital and voting rights. The group may also continue selective acquisitions or dispositions within the investment portfolio. At the same time, Frasers is reviewing whether to maintain its support for Stephan Sturm as chairman of Hugo Boss’s supervisory board.
On 18 August 2026, following the expiry of the acceptance period for its voluntary public takeover offer to purchase all ordinary no‑par value registered shares in Hugo Boss not already held by Frasers, the firm disclosed that its direct stake rose to 47.89% of the equity and voting rights.
At the last close on the Xetra exchange, Hugo Boss shares were quoted at €38.65.
