The station opening is part of a broader White House initiative to provide discounted fuel to motorists.

Customers can fill up at $3.47 per gallon, roughly 50 cents under the Pennsylvania average.

The White House posted on X: “The first Freedom Fuel Network gas station has arrived in Philadelphia, cutting the pump price to $3.47 for our 47th President.”

“President Trump is leading the effort to reduce gas prices this summer, putting more money back in consumers’ pockets,” the statement added.

The White House also released a video showing customers praising the lower prices.

“Right now we’re facing a challenging time globally, but it’s reassuring to see some stability we can enjoy,” one customer remarked in the video.

The launch follows President Donald Trump’s pledge to reduce gas prices via the Freedom Fuel Network, comprising 25 stations across the greater Philadelphia region, most in Pennsylvania and a few in New Jersey.

The White House noted that the network is run by a retailer that branded its locations as Freedom Fuel to support Trump’s drive for lower energy costs.

“This retailer is taking the lead, and others should follow,” Trump previously said.

A White House spokesperson told CBS News that the company operating the 25 stations has no affiliation with the Trump administration and is not receiving federal subsidies; instead, the stations are cutting prices by accepting thinner profit margins.

FOX Business contacted the White House for further comment.

Bessent Warns Gas Stations ‘We’re Watching’ as Trump Calls for Immediate Price Cuts

The rollout follows Trump’s call for gas retailers to cut prices at the pump, arguing that consumers should pay less as crude oil futures have retreated to levels seen before the recent U.S.–Israel conflict with Iran.

Although the national average hovers near $3 per gallon, Trump has urged retailers to aim for prices closer to $2.50 per gallon.

He also accused certain firms of price gouging and warned that the federal government could launch an investigation if prices stay high.
