Gervonta Davis has weighed in on the upcoming 160‑lb showdown between Errol Spence Jr and Tim Tszyu, which will take place at Sydney’s Afterpay Arena.

The former world champions were initially slated to fight at a catch‑weight of 158 lbs, but Spence requested an additional 2 lbs and the commission approved the adjustment as he returns to the ring after a three‑year layoff.

Despite suffering a ninth‑round stoppage defeat to Terence Crawford in his last outing, the 36‑year‑old is a slight favorite over the Australian. This bout marks Spence’s first significant fight above 147 lbs, the division where he remained unbeaten until losing his WBC, IBF and WBA titles to Crawford.

Tszyu, who recently fell to Sebastian Fundora and Bakhram Murtazaliev, has lost three of his last six contests. He aims to regain worldროგ visibility at 154 lbs and will look to secure his most important win since outpointing Brian Mendoza in 2023.

One notable supporter of Spence is former champion ‘Tank’ Davis, who posted on social media in his endorsement.

“Bring it home EJ!”
