The Ghanaian cedi showed modest movements against the US dollar on Monday, August 31, 2026, compared with the previous Friday’s close. The average buying rate fell to GHS 11.47, a two‑pesewa decline, while the selling rate dropped to GHS 11.92, also two pesewas lower.

At street‑level forex bureaus the dollar is priced at GHS 11.75 for purchases and GHS 12.20 for sales. These rates are sourced from Cedirates.com, a local platform that tracks daily currency and fuel rates.

In the Bank of Ghana’s interbank market the cedi remained tighter, trading at GHS 11.24 for buying and GHS 11.26 for selling.

The British pound is quoted at GHS 15.19 (buy) and GHS 16.23 (sell) at forex bureaus, with a Bank of Ghana interbank rate of GHS 15.24. The euro is offered at GHS 13.01 (buy) and GHS 13.94 (sell) in bureaux, while the interbank rate stands at GHS 13.04.

Money‑transfer providers LemFi and Taptap Send are offering $1 remittance rates of GHS 11.25 for USD/GBP transfers to Ghana, GBP rates of GHS 15.27, and euro rates of GHS 13.07 respectively.

For digital subscription services such as Netflix, Spotify and Apple Music paid via Visa and Mastercard, the applicable exchange rate is GHS 12.12.
