Glen Powell’s Hulu series Chad Powers has returned for its second season with a perfect 100% Rotten Tomatoes score, a remarkable achievement for a show led by one of Hollywood’s busiest film actors.

The series delivers only six half-hour episodes per season, yet managed to release a second season within roughly a year of the first—an impressive pace given Powell’s demanding film schedule.

Season 1 earned a modest 60% critic score and 84% audience rating, while the new season currently holds a 95% audience score alongside the flawless critical consensus, indicating clear upgrades without sacrificing the show’s signature lighthearted tone.

The perfect rating marks Powell’s highest-scoring project to date, surpassing the 96% earned by Top Gun: Maverick, where he had his breakout supporting role. His recent leading turns have been mixed: Super Mario Galaxy (42%), How to Make a Killing (45%), and The Running Man (61%) received tepid critical responses, though he previously starred in the acclaimed Netflix thriller Hit Man (95%) and the blockbuster hit Anyone But You alongside Sydney Sweeney.

While no official renewal for a third season has been announced, co-creators Powell and Michael Waldron have indicated a planned three-season arc, making continuation likely given the compact production scale—just three hours per season—and the strong critical reception of the current run.

Powell has five additional films in various stages of production, including a reported attachment to the adaptation of award-winning game Expedition 33, though details remain unconfirmed. Chad Powers is expected to return for a potential final season within the next year.
