Jim Cornette Slams Glenn Jacobs Over Trump Rally Speech

Pro wrestling icon Jim Cornette has publicly denounced WWE legend Glenn Jacobs, also known as Kane, for delivering a speech at a recent Donald Trump campaign rally.

Jacobs, the former mayor of Knox County, Tennessee, opened a Trump rally in Clarksville. He described the former president as tough and warm, framing the upcoming election as a “battle royal for the soul of America.” Jacobs concluded his remarks by pledging that conservative candidates would “suplex socialism” and “chokeslam communism.”

In his address, Jacobs praised Trump, calling him “the greatest president in our lifetime.” He highlighted Trump’s charisma and toughness, noting that the president “took a bullet for us” and earned a place in the WWE Hall of Fame—a distinction Jacobs said he shared.

Cornette, a vocal critic of Trump, responded on X/Twitter. In a sharp tweet, he accused Jacobs of “selling his soul for political power” by endorsing what Cornette called “the most repugnant criminal pig that ever walked the Earth.”
