(RTTNews) – Galderma (GDERF) has released findings from a groundbreaking global study involving over 11,000 participants across Europe, Asia, and the Americas, highlighting that 90% of individuals worldwide experience skin-related concerns that impact daily life quality.
The comprehensive survey identified skin smoothness, hydration, and luminescence as key indicators of healthy skin. Notably, 85% of respondents indicated that their skin condition significantly affects their overall well-being, with more than 30% expressing self-consciousness, insecurity, or anxiety linked to suboptimal skin appearance.
To address these challenges, Galderma developed the Skin Quality Assessment Scale, a science-backed framework designed to evaluate skin holistically and support personalized, long-term treatment strategies for improved outcomes.
The research emphasized that fine lines and wrinkles (41%), dryness (40%), and lack of radiance (37%) rank as the most prevalent facial skin concerns. Contributing factors identified include stress, dietary habits, UV exposure, insufficient sleep, environmental pollution, and hormonal fluctuations, all of which influence skin health trajectories over time.
These insights underscore the critical need for scientifically driven, individualized skincare solutions tailored to diverse populations and life stages, reinforcing Galderma’s dedication to advancing dermatological science and enhancing patient confidence.
