Gold prices in Pakistan declined sharply on Friday, with the per-tola rate settling at Rs424,536 following a single-day drop of Rs7,000, according to data from the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association cited by Business Recorder. The price for 10 grams of gold also fell by Rs6,001 to reach Rs363,971.
The domestic downturn mirrored a significant correction in the international market, where bullion slipped $70 to $4,020 per ounce. The slide extended losses from the previous session, when local rates had already eased by Rs3,000 per tola to close at Rs431,536 on Thursday. Silver prices followed the downward trajectory, shedding Rs221 to trade at Rs5,865 per tola, rounding out a broad-based retreat across precious metals.
