Known for his signature cocktail dresses and elegant occasion gowns, Jamaican-Canadian designer Kirk Pickersgill marked his 20th year in business by revisiting the foundations that define his aesthetic. “I’m calling this collection ‘Next,’ because people keep asking me what’s next,” Pickersgill explains. “My answer to that is, I’m just going to keep doing what I’ve been doing.” Rather than redefining his approach, the milestone prompted a fresh interpretation of his customers’ expectations.

For the resort collection, Pickersgill drew inspiration from Sunday Best traditions and the vibrant atmosphere of Sunday mass gatherings from his upbringing. “For us, Sundays were always about going to church,” he recalls. “My mother used to dress my sisters like twins, and I would be dressed as the boy version of them.” This nostalgic lens influenced the collection’s pastel color palette and celebratory designs.

The daytime offerings feature a minty-green maxi skirt with floral appliqué detailing on cotton fabric, paired elegantly with a crisp white dress shirt featuring slightly puffed sleeves. A silky butter-yellow tunic showcases a high neckline and flowing hemline that creates natural drape without requiring additional accessories. Among the unexpected daytime pieces, light-blue sequined trousers reminiscent of classic denim are paired with a graphic tee reading “Greta,” adding a touch of branded flair.

The evening selection maintains Greta Constantine’s reputation for dramatic evening wear. A soft-pink, floor-length caftan features gauzy sequin detailing that catches light beautifully. For more understated elegance, a black strapless evening gown incorporates ruffle detailing and a built-in white chiffon scarf that can be draped over one shoulder or cascaded down the back. Pickersgill emphasizes his commitment to versatility, stating, “I’d love to see someone wear this to church—now that would be fascinating.”
