At 27 years old, Jo Adell finds himself in the prime of his professional career.

Similar to Lowe, Adell possesses impressive size and strength at 6-foot-2, 215 pounds.

Also comparable to Lowe, Adell demonstrates formidable power when making contact.

A right-handed batter, Adell performs exceptionally well against left-handed pitching, though he has delivered several standout performances against right-handers since joining Cleveland.

The Los Angeles Angels selected Adell in the first round of the 2017 MLB Draft.

Adell has spent seven seasons in the major leagues, all with the Angels, prior to his recent trade to Cleveland.

His most productive campaign came in 2025, when he launched 37 home runs and drove in 98 runs while with the Angels.

Nathaniel Lowe celebrated his 31st birthday on July 7.

Lowe is an imposing first baseman/designated hitter measuring 6-foot-4, 220 pounds.

He possesses exceptional power from the left side of the plate, capable of clearing the fences in any stadium.

Lowe is in his eighth major league season.

The Tampa Bay Rays originally selected Lowe, and he has since played for the Rays, Texas Rangers, Washington Nationals, Boston Red Sox, Reds, and now the Guardians.

With Cincinnati this season, Lowe posted a .266/.341/.480/.820 slash line, compiling 26 runs scored, 17 doubles, 12 home runs, and 37 RBIs across 276 plate appearances.

While there is some swing-and-miss tendency in his game, Lowe particularly excels against right-handed pitching.

Lowe typically features in a platoon role when facing right-handed pitchers.

Since joining Cleveland through August 24, Lowe is hitting .262 with 14 home runs and 48 RBIs.

Lowe will become a free agent at the end of this season.

Baseball reference lists Genao at 5-foot-11, 150 pounds.

At just 22 years old, Genao is receiving an early opportunity to establish himself at the major league level.

Pronounced heh-NOW, or by some ha-NOW, Angel Genao has become a disruptive force in the Guardians’ lineup.

Demonstrating excellent contact ability from both sides of the plate, Genao possesses both power and speed that influence game outcomes.

Genao makes consistent contact and demonstrates patience at the plate without attempting to do too much with each offering.

Newbaseballmedia.com offered this assessment of Genao: “As far as the contact tool is concerned, it’s one of the best in the minors.”

Capable of hitting home runs or leveraging his speed to beat out infield hits, Genao impacts games through multiple approaches.

Defensively, he has played second base, shortstop, and third base, demonstrating efficiency and reliability at each position.

With Cleveland thus far, Genao is batting .290 with one home run and three RBIs.

There is little doubt that these three newest Guardians are already making a significant impact on the team’s revitalized offense.
