AEW crowned new World Trios Champions at WrestleDream 2026 following a landmark victory.
Hangman Page teamed up with Brodido—comprised of Bandido and Brody King—to defeat The New Level (Austin Creed, Kofi Kingston, and Swerve Strickland) in a Best Two Out of Three Falls match, capturing the AEW World Trios Championships.
Following their monumental win, AEW released an exclusive backstage video featuring the new champions reflecting on their victory and celebrating their reunion as titleholders.
During the promo, Hangman Page lavished praise on Bandido, calling him “the greatest luchador alive.” Bandido subsequently thanked his partners, appearing overwhelmed with emotion as he reflected on their monumental accomplishment.
Page also opened up about how much the moment meant to him, saying, “Thank you for all this because I don’t know, man. I was gone for a while, and I came back, and I didn’t know what I was going to be getting into. I did not imagine it was this, but this has made me so happy. So, thank you. Thank you for the teammate-ship, the friendship; I really appreciate it.”
Brody King responded with a powerful reminder of their collective strength, stating, “I told you, if we do this together, we can do anything.”
This victory marks the second time Hangman Page and Brodido have held the AEW World Trios Championships together. The trio initially captured the titles at Dynamite: Grand Slam Mexico before losing them to The New Level in a Trios Roulette Royale at AEW All In London at Wembley Stadium.
In a separate segment, AEW has released a new exclusive digital vignette featuring Wrathlander (Kris Statlander and Harley Cameron) scouting their next potential opponents, the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions, The Brawling Birds (Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor).
Wrathlander earned their shot at the titles earlier this month on AEW Collision: Grand Slam France, and the duo are now setting their sights on the reigning champions.
In the social media video, Statlander and Cameron take on the roles of bird watchers discussing The Brawling Birds. Statlander references Hayter’s current injury, prompting Cameron to respond with a joke about the champions. She said,
“You’re right, Stat. One of them is injured. It is. And the other one, it appears to be mating with an Ospreay!”
Statlander then explains why she believes Wrathlander are the perfect challengers for the champions. She said,
“A lot of people fear Brawling Birds because they’re strong, dominant. But every creature has its perfect predator, an equal opponent, something they should fear. So sit tight, Brawling Birds. Wrathlander is coming!”
Cameron added, “And that’s a metaphor. Jamie and Alex are the birds, and Wrathlander is the predator.”
The segment concludes with Statlander carrying her tag team partner offscreen.
“A lot of people fear Brawling Birds because they’re strong, dominant. But every creature has its perfect predator … Something they should fear.”
