The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed on Friday that Harshit Rana has rejoined the national ODI squad after successfully completing his rehabilitation program at the BCCI Centre of Excellence. The fast bowler linked up with the team in Chennai ahead of the third ODI against Afghanistan.
Rana had suffered a knee injury during India’s warm-up match against South Africa prior to the 2026 Men’s T20 World Cup, ruling him out of the tournament. He subsequently underwent surgery and missed the entire IPL 2026 season with Kolkata Knight Riders.
India currently holds a 2-0 lead in the three-match ODI series against Afghanistan, having secured wins in Dharamshala and Lucknow.
