When Heidi Klum announces her yearly Halloween celebration, attendees know that her costume will be extraordinarily elaborate.
Nevertheless, at her recent New York‑based event, she surpassed expectations by appearing as a gigantic, blood‑stained hand.
The costume was not merely any hand; it was a magnified replica of Klum’s own left hand.
According to Vogue, body‑scan data were used to fabricate the piece, accurately reproducing her engagement ring, wedding band, and the tattoo bearing her husband Tom Kaulitz’s name.
Klum said she conceived the concept for this costume during the previous year.
“I looked at my hand and thought, “Hey, I could fit my whole body into this,”” Klum told the Associated Press.
Special‑effects make‑up artist Mike Marino, who has previously realized several of Klum’s costume creations, was again responsible for the transformation.
Family affair
Klum’s husband has regularly been a central element of her Halloween parties, consistently presenting equally spectacular costumes. He has previously appeared as an egg beside her peacock, a fisherman alongside a giant worm, and a petrified version alongside her Medusa.
This year, he was absent because of a concert in Germany.
“Of course I would have loved to hold Tom’s hand,” Klum told Bunte magazine, “but I can’t be in two places at once.”
Her daughter, Leni Klum, dressed as Miss Piggy, complete with pig ears, oversized eyelashes, and a purple feather boa.
Other guests included actors Kyle MacLachlan and Neil Patrick Harris, who arrived with his husband David Burtka as a creepy twin duo.
Even beyond the main costume, the festivities continued. The night before the party, Klum invited a select group to her Soho‑located pizzeria in New York, where she appeared without the monster hand, wearing an orange dress and black boots.
It appears that the “Queen of Halloween,” who has previously portrayed E.T. and Fiona from the animated film *Shrek*, shows no intention of relinquishing the title anytime soon.
