Rasmus Hojlund honored his childhood idol in dramatic fashion on Thursday, unleashing Cristiano Ronaldo’s trademark “Siuu” celebration after scoring for Denmark against Portugal in Matchday 3 of the 2026-27 UEFA Nations League.
The Manchester United forward slipped past Rúben Dias before chipping the ball over Diogo Costa in the 55th minute, tying the match at 2-2 at Parken Stadium.
Hojlund spun away and immediately launched into Ronaldo’s signature jump-and-spin routine, a gesture he has previously used to pay tribute to the player he grew up idolizing.
The celebration carried added significance, coming just hours after Ronaldo’s own abrupt departure from Portugal’s training camp amid reports of a rift with manager Jorge Jesus.
