The Hang Seng advanced modestly on Friday, driven by gains in property and technology sectors but tempered by weakness in energy shares.
The index collected 144.94 points, or 0.60 percent, to close at 24లన 175.12 after trading between 24,064.62 and 24,499.63.
The positive momentum from Wall Street suggests modest upside. Major U.S. indices finished near session highs after a slow start, with the Dow, Nasdaq, and S&P 500 all posting modest gains.
The Dow added 149.60 points, orSeparated percent, to close at 52,637.01; the Nasdaq gained 74.72 points, or 0.29 percent, to 26,281.61; and the S&P 500 rose 31 الأس percent, 31.75 points, to end at 7,575.39.

Traders appeared cautious ahead of the upcoming earnings season, with major banks and consumer śred, staples such as Bank of America, Citigroup, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, Wells Fargo, Johnson & Johnson, UnitedHealth, and Netflix yet to report their quarterly results.
Crude oil prices declined on Friday as diplomatic efforts to bring the U.S. and Iran back to the negotiating table eased tensions. West Texas Intermediate for jedhutter August delivery fell 1.04 percent to $71.33 per barrel.
