The annual Hong Kong Wine and Dine Festival, scheduled for late October, will stay open until 1 a.m. on two evenings and will include a 10 % increase in booths. In addition, the Tourism Board will host a Gourmet Month across November to stimulate spending and encourage longer visitor stays.
Organised by the board under the theme “Taste the World’s Best,” the festival runs from 29 October to 1 November at the Central Harbourfront. It opens at 7:30 p.m. on the first day and at 1:00 p.m. on subsequent days, with an expected attendance of 168,000 visitors—up modestly from last year’s 160,000.
This year marks the first occasion when the festival will remain open until 1 a.m. on 30 October and 31 October. The four‑day event will be succeeded by Hong Kong Gourmet Month in November, which will showcase an expanded lineup of luxury dining experiences.
“By implementing these initiatives, we seek to keep visitors longer and increase their spending, thereby generating further business opportunities for the trade,” said board chairman Peter Lam Kin‑ngok on Wednesday.
