Hostage Families Coordinate Large March Along Gaza Border to Mark 1000 Days Since October 7
The convoy will assemble at Kibbutz Re’im’s parking lot on Thursday and proceed along the Gaza border, passing through areas targeted by Hamas since October 7. The planned march includes key locations such as Kerem Shalom, Nir Oz, and several community and memorial sites. The gathering aims to both raise awareness and honor those affected by the ongoing crisis. Public participation is encouraged, with public officers asked to line the road with flags to support the cause. The event will conclude with a formal ceremony in Tel Aviv’s Hostage Square, a historically significant site during the initial hostage situation. Planned expansions include a potential rename of the location to the “Square of Remembrance.” Additional preparations are underway, including a nationwide moment of silence from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. to honor victims. Authorities report similar demonstrations are being organized in the Prime Minister’s residence and major national thoroughfares.
