While previous trailers have offered little visual detail on Ian McKellen’s Magneto in Avengers: Doomsday, a newly unveiled 12‑inch action figure from Hot Toys now provides a complete look at the iconic villain’s design. The figure’s reveal comes after the panel at SDCC 2026 highlighted the film’s lineup, including Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom and other key characters.

Official photos of the figure were released on Sunday, giving fans their first peek at Magneto’s X‑Men uniform and helmet as he will appear on the big screen. Distributed domestically by Sideshow Collectibles, the 12‑inch scale Magneto—along with companion figures of Doctor Doom, Gambit, and Cyclops—was originally displayed at Sideshow’s SDCC booth and is now available for pre‑order.

Both the Collector’s and Deluxe versions stand at 11.8 inches tall and feature a newly developed helmet head sculpt with separate rolling eyeballs. In addition to a detailed portrait of McKellen, the head includes light, grey‑colored wavy wool hair at the bottom of the helmet.

The Collector’s Edition adds a fully sculpted costume with cape and boots, six interchangeable hands, and a standard display base. The Deluxe Edition, pictured above, incorporates a battle‑damaged Sentinel‑themed diorama base equipped with USB‑powered LED lighting.

“Avengers: Doomsday” Marks Ian McKellen’s Sixth Appearance As Magneto

Ian McKellen first brought Magneto to the screen in 2000’s X-Men, reprising the role in X2: X‑Men United (2003) and X-Men 3: The Last Stand (2006). After a hiatus, he returned for a cameo in The Wolverine (2013) and later reunited with Patrick Stewart’s Professor X in X‑Men: Days of Future Past (2014), playing the older incarnation of the villain.
