The clandestine departure of Flavio Bolsonaro to the United States has left Brazil bewildered and sparked an urgent search for his location.
After his electoral loss on Sunday, the Supreme Court mandated that his son, Jair Bolsonaro, surrender his passports, citing concerns that he might leave the country amid ongoing investigations.
Rather than delivering the documents, Bolsonaro evaded the enforcement effort and made a perilous flight through Argentina before crossing into Ecuador, ultimately reaching the U.S. border.
