Dover International Speedway is set to host the 2026 NASCAR All-Star Race this weekend, marking a historic first for the ‘Monster Mile’ as it welcomes the annual event. This year’s All-Star Race also introduces a revamped format. Alongside the main Cup Series event, the weekend will feature points-paying races for both the NASCAR O’Reilly and Craftsman Truck Series.
Notably, 2026 will be the first year since 1968 that Dover does not include a points-paying Cup Series race on its schedule. Last year’s All-Star Race was won by Christopher Bell at North Wilkesboro, while Denny Hamlin remains the defending winner at Dover.
For the All-Star Race, all 36 chartered entries will compete in the main event, as there will be no Open race this year. The format dictates that 19 drivers are already secured for the final segment. Other competitors will vie for one of six spots awarded to those with the best average finishes across the first two segments. An additional 26th position will go to the Fan Vote winner, with the remaining ten cars being eliminated from the race.
The weekend will also see several prominent drivers participating in support races. Ross Chastain is scheduled for triple duty across all three divisions, while Kyle Busch and Carson Hocevar will join the Truck race. Furthermore, Clint Bowyer is making a surprise return, driving the No. 25 Kaulig Racing truck for Ram.
