Saher Saqr, a militant linked to the kidnapping of Noa Argamani on October 7, 2023, was eliminated in weekend airstrikes in Nuseirat, central Gaza Strip, an IDF official told Walla on Sunday.
He was filmed escorting Argamani to Gaza on the back of a motorcycle during the October 7 assault.
On June 8, 2024, Israeli forces rescued Argamani during Operation Arnon, together with hostages Andrey Kozlov, Almog Meir Jan, and Shlomi Ziv.
In July, Israeli security forces conducted air strikes that killed two militants connected to the hostage abductions, including Ahmed Hussein Mohammed Kafina, a commander of the Mujahideen Brigades.
Kafina took part in the October 7 incursion into Israel, leading a cell of fighters.
He was involved in the abductions of Avinatan Or and Noa Argamani and oversaw operatives who seized Sudthisak Rinthalak, according to the IDF at the time.
