The International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Foundation has launched a global training partner program designed to support companies in applying the International Sustainability Standards Board’s (ISSB) sustainability disclosure standards.
Through the ISSB Training Partner Programme, selected organizations will gain authorization to deliver official training using materials developed by the IFRS Foundation.
The foundation has already appointed an inaugural cohort of partners for the rollout and is now inviting additional applicants from across regions to join the program.
As part of the initiative, the IFRS Foundation is launching ISSB Disclosure Training, a new course that focuses on the practical application of the standards.
Training partners will deliver the program to companies that must comply with ISSB requirements.
The foundation noted that more than 40 jurisdictions are currently adopting or otherwise utilizing ISSB Standards.
This has driven strong demand for structured training to support implementation.
The new course is designed to build practical skills for applying ISSB Standards in sustainability‑related financial reporting.
It targets individuals preparing such disclosures—including roles in sustainability, finance, and reporting—as well as external advisers.
Course content is based on tailored learning resources drawn directly from ISSB Standards and related documents.
ISSB vice‑Chair Sue Lloyd said: “The IFRS Foundation is committed to supporting the understanding and high‑quality application of ISSB Standards.”
“The ISSB Training Partner Programme, which will deliver the ISSB Disclosure Training course, is central to delivering on that commitment.”
In January this year, the IFRS Foundation’s Capital Markets Advisory Committee appointed three new members.
