This summer, Celtic have made only one signing: Colombian striker Camilo Duran, acquired from Qarabag for an undisclosed fee.
The club remains in need of a center-forward, with Japan international Daizen Maeda, in his final contract year, unlikely to return to the team.
Iheanacho, who joined Celtic as a free agent after the summer transfer window closed, scored nine goals during his debut season. Despite a hamstring injury that sidelined him for significant portions of the campaign, limiting his appearances to just two starts after October, his performances proved decisive.
Though joining from Sevilla in 2025, Iheanacho’s contributions were vital in securing a Scottish league and cup double, as he netted six goals in decisive matches while playing off the bench during Celtic’s final nine games.
