New Delhi, Oct 27: India will look to wrap up the five-match T20I series against New Zealand as they travel to Wellington for the third contest holding a commanding 2-0 lead. The hosts have been forced into significant bowling changes, with Matt Henry rested for the remainder of the series and Lockie Ferguson ruled out of this fixture. Kyle Jamieson, Adam Milne, and Jacob Duffy will now carry the pace attack’s hopes of unsettling India’s powerful batting line-up in Wellington’s notoriously breezy conditions.
For the visitors, the batting position of teenage sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi remains a key subplot. After replacing Ishan Kishan at No. 3 in the previous match, Sooryavanshi’s role has intensified with Kishan unavailable for this encounter. However, given the team’s current rhythm, head coach Gautam Gambhir may opt to blood Kumar Kushagra in the middle order.
