India posted a total of 285 (Mandhana 83, Harmanpreet 58, Deepti 57) and later declared at 341 for 7 (Bhatia 113, Mandhana 70, Richa 50*, Ecclestone 5‑118), defeating England (Jones 52, Gaud 5‑37) and 186 (Jones 54, Ecclestone 50, Rana 4‑42) by 270 runs

Amy Jones added only two runs to her overnight 52 before being caught at mid‑wicket by Shafali Verma on the 18th delivery of the fourth day, completing Sneh Rana’s third wicket of the innings and leaving England’s lower order exposed.

On Sunday, India set England a daunting target of 457 in the fourth innings, a total largely built on Yastika Bhatia’s century, which elevated her onto the Lord’s Test batting honour roll alongside teammate Kranti Gaud, who had already inscribed her name on the bowler’s board on day two.

Ecclestone, whose five‑wicket performance in India’s second innings earned her a place alongside Gaud on the prestigious honours board, began the day with her side 130 for 6, still requiring 327 more runs.

She reached her half‑century off 61 balls but survived only four further deliveries before being dismissed when the ball dropped and turned between bat and pad, rattling the stumps. Lauren Filer, who took the match’s inaugural wicket, remained not out after facing 22 balls and scoring a single boundary.
