RTTNews reports that Indian equities rose at the opening bell on Monday, buoyed by positive sentiment across Asian markets. This followed Brent crude falling below $102 a barrel as diplomatic initiatives raised hopes of easing tensions in West Asia.

The benchmark BSE Sensex advanced 462 points, or 0.6%, to 74,756 in early trading, while the NSE Nifty rose 46 points, or 0.2%, to 23,391.

Leading gainers included Trent, Eternal, Indigo, Asian Paints, Sun Pharma, HCL Technologies and UltraTech Cement, each climbing 2–3%.

State‑owned oil marketing firms rose, with BPCL up more than 2% as oil prices continued their fourth consecutive day of decline amid ongoing diplomatic efforts to resolve the U.S.–Iran dispute.

G R Infraprojects gained 2.2% following an update on its Agra‑Gwalior greenfield road project.

Entero Healthcare Solutions rose 1.9% after HDFC Mutual Fund acquired a 3.2% stake in the company.

VIP Industries increased roughly 1% on reports of a fundraising initiative.

Apollo Pipes climbed 1.8% after expanding into the ceramic tiles sector via an acquisition.

Welspun Corp rose 1.7% after securing a contract valued at approximately Rs. 2,000 crore from Saudi Aramco.
