As the defending men’s T20 champions, India is among four seeded teams—Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka—who received direct entry into the quarter-finals. Their quarter-final opponent will be determined by the second-placed team from Group A, which includes Afghanistan, Japan, and Nepal. Group A matches are scheduled for September 24, 25, and 26, with final standings setting India’s fate.
Group B consists of Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Oman, with the top two advancing to face Pakistan and Bangladesh in separate quarter-final matches.

Path to Gold Medal
If India prevails in the quarter-final, they will contest the semi-final against the winner of the Sri Lanka vs Group A champion match on October 1. A win there would advance them to the gold medal match on October 3.
