“Inter Miami CF announced today that it has signed Brazilian international midfielder Casemiro. The five-time UEFA Champions League-winning midfielder joins the Club as a free agent and will remain under contract through the conclusion of the 2027 MLS Sprint Season, with an extension option until June 2029“, reports the Herons on their official website.
Despite being 34 years old, Casemiro remained a pivotal figure for Manchester United during the 2025-26 season, contributing 9 goals and 2 assists. His consistent performances made him an indispensable part of the team’s midfield. Now seeking a new challenge, Casemiro cited Inter Miami’s ambitious sporting vision as a key motivator for his decision to join the MLS side.

While receiving other offers to continue his career in Europe, Casemiro opted for a fresh chapter in Major League Soccer. He will integrate into Inter Miami’s midfield alongside Yannick Bright, bringing extensive experience to the squad. Despite his age, the veteran midfielder has publicly voiced his eagerness to contribute to the team’s success under Guillermo Hoyos.
“I’m incredibly grateful, and I can’t wait to get started so I can repay that trust—not only during the 90 minutes on matchday, but every day in training as well.
