Islamabad: The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police have appointed PSP officer Kainat Azhar Khan as Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) and assigned her the additional responsibility of SSP Operations for Safe City.
An ITP official said the posting and transfer order was issued by IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.
According to the notification, Kainat Azhar Khan, a BS‑18 rank officer of the Police Service of Pakistan (PSP), has been appointed Chief Traffic Officer for Islamabad following the transfer of Mohammad Sarfraz Virk, whose services have now been assigned to the Punjab government.
The official added that Kainat Azhar Khan will also assume the additional role of SSP Operations for Safe City, while Awais Ali Khan, SP of Capital Patrols, has been relieved of that additional duty.
Before her Islamabad assignment, Kainat Azhar Khan served as Chief Traffic Officer and Station House Officer (SP) for Cantt in Multan. She has also held positions as Sub‑Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) for Civil Lines and Cantt in Rawalpindi, and brings extensive experience in traffic management and operational policing.
