A challenge has been thrown out by a NJPW wrestler.
HENARE, who recently won the IWGP Tag Team titles with Great-O-Khan, issued the challenge on social media Sunday.
“O‑Khan and I are ready for anyone who wants to step up,” he wrote.
Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona of GOA quickly answered the call. Although Henare later noted that no other team seemed interested, he reposted the duo’s responses.
Ricochet joined the fray shortly after. “He’s afraid of @BishopKaun and @ToaLiona,” he wrote.
No match has been officially announced for Forbidden Door, which will take place next Sunday in San Jose.
New champions crowned at Dominion
HENARE and Great-O-Khan captured the IWGP Tag Team titles by defeating the Knock Out Brothers (YUTO-ICE and Oskar) at Dominion earlier this month. Their victory earned them spots in this year’s G1 Climax tournament, slated to begin next month in Chicago.
Meanwhile, Ricochet has shifted his focus to Konosuke Takeshita. He will challenge the new International Champion this upcoming Wednesday on Dynamite.
