STATELINE, Nev. – The Tahoe Knight Monsters, ECHL affiliate of the Vegas Golden Knights of the NHL and the AHL’s Henderson Silver Knights, have re‑signed Jake McGrew for a third campaign in Tahoe.
A native of Orange, California, McGrew has accumulated 78 points (41 goals, 7 assists) over 132 games in his first two seasons with the Knight Monsters. He set a career‑high 22 goals last season.
Prior to his time with the Knight Monsters, McGrew spent two seasons in Sweden and also played in the ECHL for the Orlando Solar Bears and the Allen Americans.
McGrew was drafted in the sixth round (159th overall) by the San Jose Sharks in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft and logged 84 games with the Sharks’ AHL affiliate, the San Jose Barracuda, where he recorded 30 points (16 goals, 14 assists).
