Jalen Hurts Emphasizes Practice Repetitions in Adapting to Eagles’ New Offense

The Eagles have introduced Sean Mannion as their new offensive coordinator and Parks Frazier as the new quarterbacks coach. Starting quarterback Jalen Hurts has said the offseason program is focused on learning a new approach to the game.

When asked about his comfort level with the new offense, Hurts explained that Organized Team Activities (OTAs) are designed for that exact purpose.

“The comfort comes with repetition,” Hurts said. “It stems from continuous instruction and dedicated practice time. I’ve learned that every year, the coaching staff emphasizes clear goals, intent, and vision. Listening closely, asking questions, and actively working through the material help me understand how to adjust on the field. Each offensive coordinator brings a unique perspective, and the added input from my quarterbacks coach aligns closely with the play calling. Adapting to these changes and absorbing the information gradually is essential.”

Hurts added that one-on-one sessions with Frazier have been instrumental in his development as a quarterback.

“Parks has been great. I’m excited to see what the summer and training camp bring so we can keep improving,” Hurts said.

After a disappointing 2025 season, Hurts remains optimistic that the offense will improve in 2026.
