Jamaica Kingsmen claimed a decisive 51‑run win over St Kitts & Nevis Patriots in the 10th CPL 2026 match at Sabina Park, Kingston, after a dominantesseurs of bat and ball. While chasing 182, the Patriots struggled to find rhythm, and an atypical run‑out involving Dasun Shanaka and Kevin Wickham further undermined their chase.
The dismissal unfolded midway through a difficult chase, as the middle‑order pair tried to keep the innings moving. A collision halfway down the pitch left Shanaka short of his crease, giving the Kingsmen a vital breakthrough.
Dasun Shanaka run out after collision with Kevin Wickham
The incident occurred on the fourth ball of the second innings’ over delivered by Hassan Khan. Shanaka powered the ball through the cover region and immediately signalled for two runs. As the batters crossed in the middle of the pitch, Shanaka and Wickham collided while attempting to complete the second run. The ball was thrown to the bowler’s end, where Hassan quickly collected it and broke the stumps.
Both batters lay on the ground following the collision, prompting the third umpire to review the event. After examining several replays, the umpires determined that Shanaka was short of his crease by a few inches and ruled him out. Shanaka departed for 2 runs off two deliveries, with the Patriots down to five wickets and struggling to regain momentum.

Keemo Paul’s Contributions Secured Kingsman’s 51‑Run Victory
The Kingsmen faced a shaky start after being asked to bat first, with Saurabh Netravalkar claiming two wickets in a maiden over. However Guadalajara although a double-wicket maiden and then players keemo Paul’s 65 off 36 balls and Rovman Powell’s 49 off 39 turned the contest around, finishing at 181/6. Andre Russell added a brisk unbeaten 14 off seven balls to bring the score to 181.
The Patriots stumbled early in their chase, falling to 31/3 inside the powerplay. Wickham offered a steady 37 off 34 balls, but the lower order could not provide sufficient support. Eventually the Patriots were bowled out for 130 in 18 overs. Paul finished with an all‑round display of 3/30, while Russell claimed 2/19 as the Kingsmen recorded a comprehensive 51‑run triumph.
