Jeremy Clarkson has confirmed he is in remission from prostate cancer, with doctors describing early detection as critical to his recovery. He shared his status in an interview with *The Sunday Times*, reflecting on his diagnosis during the fifth season of *Clarkson’s Farm*, filmed in 2025.
“I am without a doubt, officially, the world’s luckiest man,” Clarkson stated. He disclosed that a recent prostate-specific antigen (PSA) test revealed the cancer, emphasizing its aggressive nature. “It could have spread, it could have gone into the pancreas, it could have gone anywhere, and that would have been trouble,” he warned.
The 66-year-old creator reinforced his message during a social media video series, where he declared, “The more observant among you will have noticed that I am not dead.” He urged fans to prioritize health checkups, noting, “The reason I’m fine is because the doctors caught the prostate cancer early, and they caught it early because I got tested.”
In his Instagram posts, Clarkson announced that production for the sixth season of *Clarkson’s Farm* remains active. He added, “I’m not just not dead—I’m perfectly fine,” while advocating for routine blood tests as a painless preventive measure.
Clarkson also acknowledged the possibility of recurrence, stating to the *Times*, “I try to be positive. I’ve decided to be one of the 60% who doesn’t have a recurrence.” He plans regular monitoring and expressed hope to inspire proactive health measures, telling the publication, “If one person watches this and gets checked early, it’s worth being an illness bore.”
In season five’s finale, Clarkson disclosed he had surgery to remove 10% of his prostate and had previously undergone heart surgery for blocked coronary arteries. He noted, “The prostate, 10% of it’s dead,” underscoring the seriousness of his health journey.
