During the Cowboys’ loss to the Buccaneers on Thursday, quarterback Dak Prescott had an unpleasant exchange with a driver in the AT&T Stadium tunnel, though the team’s owner, Jerry Jones, said it didn’t concern him.
The driver called Prescott “embarrassing” as he walked by, and Prescott responded sarcastically, labeling the non‑team employee a “tough guy” and telling him to “get his ass out of here.” Jones, speaking on 105.3 The Fan, defended the fan’s right to speak freely.
“I didn’t pay a lot of attention to it. It doesn’t impact me at all,” Jones said. “The driver in question was not an employee. Fans can express themselves and should express themselves. Whether he was our employee or not, he was a fan it sounds like. So, I’m for our fans expressing themselves.”
The remainder of Jones’s radio appearance centered on what the Cowboys can do on the field to make future fan reactions more positive.
