Julian Edelman Draws Striking Parallel Between Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson

Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills have gotten off to a flying start, securing victories against the Houston Texans and the Detroit Lions in the opening two weeks of the season.

Allen has been nothing short of spectacular, reminding everyone why he was ranked No. 1 on numerous quarterback lists before the season began. In just two games, he has already thrown for 582 yards, five touchdowns, and zero interceptions.

On FOX Sports, Rob Gronkowski praised the 30-year-old quarterback, calling him “impossible to prepare” due to his all-around acumen. Julian Edelman echoed these sentiments, drawing a bold comparison to another NFL superstar.

“What you just said right there is something that a lot of people don’t always say about Allen, but they say a lot about Lamar Jackson,” Edelman noted.

“It’s hard to prepare for Josh Allen because when you see him in real life, he’s bigger than what you think, he’s faster than what you think, and the ball comes off his arm quicker than you’d expect. It’s incredibly difficult to prepare for that.”

Gronkowski further added that Allen is a “great pocket passer as well,” highlighting his admiration for the former MVP’s highly versatile playstyle.

Both Gronkowski and Edelman know firsthand how much easier the game becomes when playing alongside a great quarterback, having won three Super Bowl titles with Tom Brady on the New England Patriots.

“It’s hard to prepare for these guys because you don’t have someone who can run and who’s that fast. You can’t feel the speed. The same has to be said about Josh Allen,” Edelman stressed.

The Bills will look to improve to 3-0 on Sunday when they face the Los Angeles Chargers.
