However, the timing complicates any potential transfer. Fernandes is entering the final year of his United contract, though the club holds an option to extend it by a further season. Crucially, discussions over a new long-term agreement have advanced significantly, with the midfielder widely expected to remain at Old Trafford.

Sources close to the agent community have informed CaughtOffside that Fernandes features on a list of attacking midfield targets compiled by Juventus sporting director Frederic Massara.
The Turin club are keen to raise the technical level of Spalletti’s group, and Fernandes would provide goals, creativity, and a wealth of top-level experience. Having previously represented Novara, Udinese, and Sampdoria in Italy, his adaptation to Serie A would be seamless.
Reports indicate Juventus have sounded out the player’s representatives regarding his situation. Nevertheless, financing a deal presents a significant hurdle, particularly if United demand a fee in the region of €50 million to €75 million.
Contract Progress Renders Summer Move Unlikely
