Country music star Kacey Musgraves has partnered with women’s wellness brand Medicine Mama to launch a signature personal lubricant titled “Drought Drops,” a playful nod to her hit song “Dry Spell.”
Described by Medicine Mama as a water-based personal lubricant and vaginal moisturizer, the product is designed to supplement the body’s natural lubrication, boost moisture, and enhance intimate experiences. Musgraves shared that the creation “keeps the dry spells away and the good times coming.” Due to high demand, the limited-edition release sold out quickly, though another shipment is anticipated to arrive in early September, with pre-orders available on the product’s official website.
Crafted with organic aloe, Drought Drops also feature a limited-edition, Musgraves-themed sticker sheet. The product serves as a “cheeky little wink” to her track “Dry Spell,” which was released in May as the lead single from her latest album.
The single “Dry Spell” quickly gained traction, leading to playful, innuendo-filled music videos and live performances. During the 2026 Academy of Country Music Awards at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena, Musgraves performed a lively set that playfully referenced the track’s suggestive lyrics: “I’m so lonely, lonely with a capital ‘H’ / If you know what I mean, I’ve been sitting on the washing machine.”
Musgraves is currently on tour supporting her seventh studio album, Middle Of Nowhere, released in May via Lost Highway Records. The album follows her 2024 release, Deeper Well, and features notable collaborations with Willie Nelson, Miranda Lambert, Billy Strings, and Gregory Alan Isakov.
Upon its release, the album received a three-and-a-half-star review from NME, which praised it as one of the artist’s “most thematically cohesive records.” Critics noted, “Though it’s called ‘The Middle of Nowhere’, you get the sense that Musgraves is right where she wants to be,” highlighting the album’s grounded, assured commitment amidst a landscape of maximalism in music. The record was also featured in NME‘s list of the best albums of 2026 so far.
Prior to the album’s release, Musgraves surprised fans at Coachella 2026 with several new tracks, marking her first festival appearance since 2019. In a whimsical promotional effort, she was spotted dressed in a giant armadillo costume searching for copies of the album in retail stores.
