Bitcoin’s more than 20% rally this week has sent the cryptocurrency to heights it hasn’t seen since May, with prediction market platform Kalshi traders forecasting it will stabilize near current levels by year-end.
Speculators estimate bitcoin’s price at midnight on Jan. 1, 2027, will average around $75,000 based on contract trading data. The platform resolves outcomes using CF Benchmarks’ price feeds.
This week’s rally stems from two catalysts: a U.S. Treasury intervention to stabilize bond markets, which boosted risk assets, and a White House gathering where President Trump, crypto leaders, and regulators advocated for the Cryptocurrency Markets in Digital Assets Regulation (CMAR) Act.
Kalshi’s consensus suggests a slight downward adjustment from pre-rally projections, where traders expected $66,000, despite bitcoin trading above $77,000 currently.
