[Kamario Taylor Uncertain as Right Leg Issue Raises Concerns for Mississippi State]
Mississippi State standout quarterback Kamario Taylor remains classified as day‑to‑day by head coach Jeff Lebby after suffering a right‑leg strain during the Bulldogs’ 56‑23 loss to No. 7 Alabama last Saturday.
Taylor left the field in the fourth quarter, walking slowly toward the locker room under a medical boot, showing lingering pain even though he had played significant earlier in the contest.
His most recent injury occurred during Mississippi State’s victory over Missouri last week when he strained his right leg; Thursday’s performance displayed clear discomfort, confirming the seriousness of the problem.
Taylor finished 19 of 34 for 258 passing yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions. He added 185 rushing attempts that resulted in minus‑26 grounding yards after being sacked five times.
Listed at +500 heading into the clash to secure a Heisman Trophy bid, he dropped to +3000 on FanDuel Sportsbooks following the loss to Alabama.
Mississippi State enjoys a bye next weekend before traveling to host No. 11 LSU on October 17.
