The Ravens have a new head coach in Jesse Minter and an offensive coordinator named Declan Doyle, and quarterback Lamar Jackson states that upcoming defenses will be caught off guard by an unprecedented attacking style.
Jackson told Adam Schein that he’s eager to reveal an offense that has never existed before.
He added, “I’m excited to demonstrate this innovative scheme; neither the opponents than nor their defenses appears fully prepared for what lies ahead.”
Declan Doyle, who served as the Bears’ offensive coordinator last year, now leads the Ravens in Baltimore under head coach Ben Johnson, who designs every play. Jesse Minter brings a defensive perspective to the role, marking his first stint as an offensive leader. Jackson describes the result as a thrilling new system.
“It’s a cascade of movement—players spread across the field, play-action throws, short passing concepts, and a robust run game—that constitutes a complete offensive package.”
Having missed all preseason action, Jackson’s new offensive scheme remains largely unproven. Its true form will emerge next Sunday in Indianapolis, when the Ravens begin the regular season against the Colts.
