Lancashire Close Disappointing Campaign with Rain-Hit Draw Against Durham

Bohannon reached 150 for the seventh time in his Lancashire career off 321 balls, but Walkden fell for a career-best 36 after attempting to pull a delivery to leg and skying a catch to Brydon Carse at backward point.

Walkden’s sixth-wicket stand with Bohannon had yielded 83 runs, bringing Lancashire within 14 runs of avoiding the follow-on. George Balderson then remained undefeated in a 66-run partnership with Bohannon, as the match adopted the familiar lethargy of an end-of-season contest where no points remained at stake.

The umpires withdrew for bad light at 2:35, with tea taken early at 2:50. Murk persisted and the draw was confirmed by 3:45.
