Larry Kudlow Warns of ‘Mamdani-ism’ Threat to American Values on July 4th

FOX Business host Larry Kudlow marked the nation’s approach to its July 4th, 250th anniversary by reflecting on foundational American principles. In a recent broadcast of ‘Kudlow,’ he highlighted the Declaration of Independence’s opening assertion that “all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness” as the epitome of freedom and natural rights.

Kudlow contrasted these ideals with what he characterized as the Democratic Party’s apparent alignment with far-left socialists, specifically referencing New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani. He cited a New York Post report indicating Mamdani acknowledged that his anti-Israel stance helped secure his electoral victory, and noted Mamdani’s repeated opposition to Israel as a Jewish-led state.

The commentator argued that Mamdani’s movement represents a departure from traditional American values, stating that his anti-Semitism and perceived anti-American sentiments threaten the nation’s foundational principles. Kudlow emphasized that the Founding Fathers sought equality and prosperity through hard work and individual initiative, not through “oppressive taxes or monarchical government.”

He referenced President Trump’s recent remarks labeling Democratic socialism as “really communism,” comparing the threat to historical challenges including World War I, World War II, September 11th, and the Pearl Harbor attack.

Kudlow further contended that Democratic Socialists of America advocate for policies including abolishing the Senate, defunding the military and police, open borders, universal amnesty for undocumented immigrants, national takeover of large corporations, government-provided healthcare and abortion access, prisoner voting rights, Supreme Court expansion, wealth confiscation, and Ending support for Israel. He framed these positions as incompatible with the ideals of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
